Stephen Bailey: Edinburgh Fringe 2018 interview

Hello. How are you today?

I’m great thanks babe!

At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?

My programme blurb basically says I’m very rude and lists my credits. So it basically still very accurate.

Who are you sharing a flat with and how will you help each other survive the month?

I’m living with straight boys – Chris Washington, Steve Bugeja and my BFF Brennan Reece! I plan on turning their ladies (or the ladies they meet) against them if they leave the place a mess.

Any shows you’re excited about seeing?

All the gays!

Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?

This is so boring but I love that I have stability for one month! For one month, I know exactly what I’m doing. I work 9-6 and then I have a nice dinner. I DO A BIG SHOP FOR CHRIST SAKE!

The Fringe’s tagline this year is ‘Into The Unknown’. What do people not know about you?

I really am a black belt in Tae Kwon – Do and fluent in French.

I’m bored of all the podcasts I currently subscribe to. Can you recommend me a good one please?

I’m bored of podcasts! I can recommend ‘Safe’ on Netflix.

Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.

I really feel sad that they are rebooting hit TV show Charmed without the original cast! And I want to confess that I haven’t watched an episode of the World Cup but I plan on bingewatching it on Netflix during the Fringe.
