Comedy/magic act Piff The Magic Dragon is back at the Fringe after breaking the U.S. following a successful run on America’s Got Talent. He has a mind-reading dog.
Hello. How are you today?
Today? It’s 12.32am. I’m on Las Vegas time. But I’m very well this morning.
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
Mr Piffles, aka my dog, will definitely be reading minds. And I will definitely be opening for him. So pretty close.
Who are you sharing a flat with and how will you help each other survive the month?
My girlfriend / showgirl assistant from Las Vegas, Jade Simone. We will spend each morning eating pancakes at Broughton Deli.
Any shows you’re excited about seeing?
I really want to see the new Mr Swallow show, anything Spencer Jones is doing, and then asking random people what I should see.
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
Seeing Richard Wiseman
The Fringe’s tagline this year is ‘Into The Unknown’. What do people not know about you?
I recently got a double for Mr Piffles, so Mr Piffles could have the night off. But the new dog is terrible at magic, so now he’s just a regular dog, and Mr Piffles still never gets a night off.
I’m bored of all the podcasts I currently subscribe to. Can you recommend me a good one please?
Yes. ThePiffPod.com – one of the most popular magic dragon related podcasts out there.
Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.
Piff is ten years old this year! 5th July 2008 was the date I officially evolved into a mythical creature and found a way to make my innate grumpiness socially acceptable at last.
