Welsh comedian Lloyd Langford returns to the Fringe with a free show that won the Best Show Award at the 2018 Leicester Comedy Festival.
Hello. How are you today?
Good thanks. I’m off to Liverpool for some gigs. I’m sat opposite a woman on the train who has a black eye and is talking about Japanese knotweed. It’s like a personal Alan Bennett play.
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
There are far fewer words in my blurb than in my show. I guess that’s better than the alternative.
Who are you sharing a flat with and how will you help each other survive the month?
Matt Forde. Watching YouTube videos made by the unhinged and mutual masturbation.
Any shows you’re excited about seeing?
Yes! Mat Ewins, Joseph Moore and Laura Daniel in Two Hearts, Natalie Palamides, Tim Key. Loads of stuff really.
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
I really love walking around the city. All the little wynds and alleys and bridges. It’s beautiful and gothic and labyrinthine. It’s like an episode of Knightmare, but instead of goblins you have to avoid the junkies and Spanish tourists.
The Fringe’s tagline this year is ‘Into The Unknown’. What do people not know about you?
I won an award at cub scouts because I was so good at polishing my shoes.
Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.
I think the pink grapefruit is a really underrated fruit.
