Rhys James: Edinburgh Fringe 2017 interview

One of the brightest young prospects in British comedy, Rhys James is well on his way to being a household name.

Hello. How are you today?

Come on mate.

At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?

The blurb was always irrelevant. You only get 40 words. The first 3 of mine are “well”. It matches it entirely in the sense that it’s all filler.

Have the momentous events of 2016 affected your act in any way?

I started talking about wiping my butt more if that’s what you mean?

Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?

Pasta sauce boy Adam Hess and Tom Walker who often wears wrestling t-shirts which I’m totally on board with.

Any shows you’re particularly excited about seeing?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! The Compilation Showcase Fringe Free Comedian Festival Free And Comedy!

Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?

I really like the shower in the flat we rent.

What celebrity death hit you the hardest in 2016 (mine was Wogan)?

Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.

Dad if you are reading this please take your go on Words With Friends.
