Surreal character comedy from this duo.
Hello. How are you today?
Quivering with excitement
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
The blurb is scientifically accurate but the title (We Are Not Afraid) may not be completely honest.
Have the momentous events of 2016 affected your comedy in any way?
Too early to tell.
Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?
Christopher Bliss will soothe us with excerpts from his new novel, Lola&Jo will be carrying out market research events throughout the month from their office in the toilet, Damien Slash will be holding nightly TedTalks on mortality whilst Madame Señorita will be running an interactive flamenco support group in her yurt.
Any shows you’re particularly excited about seeing?
Lola&Jo, Damien Slash, Madame Senorita, Christopher Bliss, Spencer Jones, Colin Hoult, Rhum & Clay, Zack and Viggo, and so many people we haven’t yet had the pleasure of knowing!
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
Wearing polyester flares everyday for a month, feeling immensely alive and occasionally moved by the gathering of so many people in the name of live performance at great personal/emotional/financial expense.
What celebrity death hit you the hardest in 2016 (mine was Wogan)?
Alan Rickman & David Bowie
Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.
We might be psychic and ‘We Are Not Afraid’ might be your favourite show this year.
