The Abridged Dapper Eleven Hour Monochrome Dream Show: Edinburgh Fringe 2016 interview

2016ABRIDGE_WH

How are you today?

We are dead. Just seen what our show is like. We are dead. I’m so worried. We are dead.
Thanks for asking though.

Are you ready for another month of Edinburgh Fringe action?

no..

At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?

Religiously.

What are your tips for getting people to see your show?

Everything hinges on this interview.

Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the
month?

I don’t think we’ll survive two days, let alone a month. We’re hoping to use the profits from
this show to buy a house in Edinburgh. We are already dead though.

Any shows you’re particularly excited about seeing?

Your Majesties In the awardwinning performance of Your Majesties, Navaridas and Deutinger reenact Barack Obama’s Nobel lecture, held at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo in 2009. Performer Alex Deutinger delivers the US President’s legendary speech while behind the audience, Marta Navaridas pulls the strings – manipulating and guiding the politician’s movements with invisible strings as a gesturing puppeteer. The president’s lecture is revived and a piece of world history updated while the techniques of political rhetoric are laid bare in surprisingly clear, engagingly simple fashion. A fascinating dance performance about war, peace and hope.

Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?

The bus journey. Finally being able to cum. The venue’s ceiling.

Salt and sauce on your chips?

Cum.
