Hello. How are you today?
Hi there! I’m good thanks! How are you [Ace! – Ed]?
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
Muhahaha! I skilfully made the blurb about the past so it’s all factually accurate. It’s nice and vague and focuses on ‘the performer’ rather than the content. This year is a combination of my favourite bits and a bit of new. I don’t want the title to scare people away. Don’t be thinking you’re in for an hour of Roman-themed comedy!
What are your tips for getting people to see your show?
I’m going to do some flyering, I’ve done some advertising and I’m going to continually harass everyone I can reach via social media. I’m doing spots in lots of other shows too so people can go ‘I’d like to see more of her’ or ‘That’s quite enough of that’.
Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?
Tamar Broadbent, Dave Green, Richard Todd. They are all lovely hilarious people so I’m looking forward to living with them.
Any shows you’re particularly excited about seeing?
There’s so many excellent shows to choose from! All my friends are great, so them. I saw Kieran Hodgson and Emma Sidi for the first time recently, they were brilliant so I reckon I’ll try and catch them.
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
It’s a lovely lovely comedians’ playground. So many familiar faces. Someone you know around every corner, all in the same existential crisis-ey boat.
Salt and sauce on your chips?
OF COURSE! I’M NOT A BARBARIAN.
