Paul F Taylor, winner of New Act Of The Year 2013, returns to the Fringe with more silly absurdity.
Hello. How are you today?
I’m good thanks. *cough* oh… Maybe not?
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
This year I purposefully made my show blurb nice and vague. Which is great because preview audiences seem to have really enjoyed when I’ve been quite vague.
What are your tips for getting people to see your show?
Be Louis CK. Failing that, I dunno… You might want to print a couple of posters?
Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?
To save money I’m staying with family that live up in Edinburgh this year. So hopefully I’ll side-step the suffocating bubble of “who got what review” that is Edinburgh and instead enjoy a nice bubble of “it’s not the most important thing happening in the world right now”. Plus I might get some free food.
Any shows you’re particularly excited about seeing?
I always enjoy Spencer Jones, Michael Brunstrom and Tony Law. So those guys I guess, plus whoever else is doing something a bit leftfield this year.
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
The first day. When everyone is optimistic and full of joy.
Salt and sauce on your chips?
Salt and vinegar actually.
Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.
Great! How big is the space? Can I just keep typing until I run out o
