Following last years’s sell out Big Stupid Comedy Night for Shelter which raised over £2000 for national housing charity Shelter, Laugh Out London (third best comedy club in London – Time Out) returns to Bob Slayer’s Grotto of Comedy for two nights of festive comedy fun.

We bring you a mix of comedy legends like Stewart Lee and Harry Hill and exciting newcomers such as LetLuce and Spencer Jones who will perform in aid of the housing charity.

They will be performing on 18 and 19 December at a very special venue: a gentlemen’s club in central London that has been abandoned for several years and has been turned into a comedy club for the festive season.

Dates: Friday 18th December and Saturday 19th December
Venue: Grotto @ The HoHo Theatre, 27 Throgmorton St. EC2N 2AQ
Nearest station: Bank, Liverpool St and Moorgate
Time: Doors 7.15pm, Start 8pm

Grotto @ The HoHo Theatre
A festive celebration of independent comedy

This December, for the second year in a row a number of London’s most interesting comedy promoters are turning an abandoned building into a special pop-up venue – Heroes: Grotto of Comedy will take over Throgmortons, a once lavish City of London hang out that has lain empty for four years. By promoting one-off, high concept innovative shows – with strictly no Works Parties allowed – we are quite literally reclaiming Christmas Comedy from under corporate noses.

Shelter helps support thousands of homeless individuals and those in desperate need of housing advice every year free of charge. They can only do so with support they receive from the public, and in the current climate they need your support more than ever.
