Tiff Stevenson: Edinburgh Fringe 2015 interview

Tiff Stevenson is a TV Regular and cornerstone of the London comedy scene having founded the legendary new material night Old Rope. She returns to the fringe following her 2014 show “Optimist” which picked up strong reviews and a run at the Soho Theatre.

Hello. How are you today?

I mean let’s not even bother with this one. I’m a ray of fucking sunshine

At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?

Pretty much all there apart from the Spanish rap, I’ve ditched that…or I’m saving it for late night shows…whichever you prefer

What are your tips for getting people to see your show?

Make it really good by doing 10 years of stand up. Get people to flyer it. Do the odd late night spot where you blow people’s mind holes wide open

Is there anyone in particular you’d like to see in your audience?

Bruce Springsteen and the ghosts of Rivers, Carlin & Pryor

Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?

I share a flat with NO ONE because I’m not 23 or student any more. Plenty of company with the voices in my head.

Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year

Climbing Arthur’s Seat and having at least one hangover where I think I might actually die

What’s your topping at The Baked Potato Shop on Cockburn Street?

Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.

You go for it
