Katia Kvinge is one of the loveliest, funniest and energetic character comics going. In this year’s Edinburgh Fringe show she attempts to bring 140 characters to life in one hour. Can it be done?
Hello. How are you today?
Hey, good thanks! How are you? If that wasn’t a rhetorical question
Are you ready for another month of Edinburgh Fringe action?
Yep, I’ve got Berocca, throat sweets and a show, I think I’m ready.
At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?
It’s pretty accurate apart from the fact that my show now is me actually attempting to perform 140 Characters within an hour. It was a joke but now it’s real. Eeek!
What are your tips for getting people to see your show?
Do an interview with Laugh Out London 😉
Is there anyone in particular you’d like to see in your audience?
Hmm Lorne Michaels would be nice (producer of Saturday Night Live)
Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?
I’m living with my sister and we will help each other to survive by singing 80s & 90s power ballads out of our face mouths.
Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?
I’ve been promised a rollercoaster ride, but I think thats more of the emotional kind than the Alton Towers kind
What’s your topping at The Baked Potato Shop on Cockburn Street?
Butter, baked beans & loads of cheese!
Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.
