Stuart Laws is a regular MC for Laugh Out London and one of our favourite acts on the circuit. His Edinburgh Fringe shows are always exciting affairs, full of boundless energy and enthusiasm that can capture any audience.

Hello. How are you today?

Recovering from having my appendix removed last night.

Are you ready for another month of Edinburgh Fringe action?

I was until last night.

At this stage, how closely does your programme blurb match the content of your show?

I don’t do the feminist joke in my show, otherwise I’m so bang on. Also I’m actually doing 8 dates not 5, however it’s cheaper to list 5 days so I left the weekends off, knowing that they take care of themselves.

What are your tips for getting people to see your show?

Do a really good show. Don’t flyer unless you’re really good at it, get someone else to sell the show for you. Also blackmail, I’ve got juicy gossip on a lot of people attending the fringe and will release it if they don’t attend my show.

Is there anyone in particular you’d like to see in your audience?

Ted Danson, that would be incredible.

Who are you sharing a flat with this festival and how will you help each other survive the month?

I’m by myself, haha! Gutted! Your question doesn’t work. Suck it LOL-boys.

Other than the great shows, what else are you looking forward to about your trip to Edinburgh this year?

I have a friend who lives in London but I only seem to meet up with in Edinburgh. That’ll be nice. Mars bar crispy cakes at Black Medicine. And due to the extradition laws I always try and do my annual murder on the day before I cross the border back into England.

What’s your topping at The Baked Potato Shop on Cockburn Street?

How about you mind your own fucking business chump?

Here’s a space to write about anything you want. Go for it.

Go and see Harriet Kemsley, her show is so amazing. Also Chris Coltrane, Mark Stephenson, Ali Brice and Twins because that would be a great day of comedy.
