Sorry fans of foppish indie haircuts and cardigans, but Jack De’Ath was away for this episode, leaving me and my iPhone alone to complete another Laugh Out London adventure into the murky depths of the capital’s comedy scene.
It wasn’t too terrifying though, as I found the rather lovely sketch group, Four Sad Faces, on my journey to help deliberate such things as jam and speaking to strangers on trains.
The guys were performing as part of the excellent PBH Balham Free Fringe at the Bedford in Balham (how about that!?) where acts appearing at the Free Fringe during this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe were polishing off their shows.
As well as the Faces excellent hour, I as able to see the very charming and funny Grainne Maguire; the odd and joyous Tim Shishodia/Andy Davies; the vegetable influenced Wilkinson Ford and Steve Hewitt in Moon Horse vs The Mars Men of Jupiter. They were all fab and free and must defs for Edinburgh if you’re up.
Go see Four Sad Faces too, performing at 1.15pm in the Canon’s Gait pretty much every day.
